Smart&Secure: Tracking Tag

The MIKOH Smart&Secure Tracking Tag is a pressure-sensitive label incorporating an RFID chip and antenna, along with a dedicated conductive ink tamper circuit. More advanced than standard Smart&Secure tags, the tracking tag alerts an RFID reading device that it has been tampered, while maintaining the tag’s RFID functionality.  This enables ongoing retrieval of data stored on the tag.

The tag’s tamper layer causes disruption to the tamper circuit on tampering or removal of tag, without affecting the chip or antenna. During a read operation, this disruption is sensed by the chip and the tampering is reported to the reader.  

Adhesive chemistry and multi-layer manufacturing process result in reliable tamper indication even when sophisticated tamper methods are used, including:

• Temperature Extremes
  
• Chemical attack (ie. Solvents, Corrosives)
  
• Mechanical attack (ie. Razor Blade, Knife)

Currently available only at 13.56 MHz, UHF chip planned
