Matthew Blomfield, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Matthew Blomfield is managing director and CEO of MIKOH Corporation. Over the past three years, he spearheaded global development, transforming MIKOH into the world’s leading authority on the physical security of RFID tags.
Early in his career, Blomfield launched the first three-dimensional PC-based CAD/CAM software and participated in the successful initial public offering of the product’s developer, The Caddsman Limited. He forged new business partnerships across key financial centers, driving successful initiatives in Australia, Korea, Japan and China. He was later appointed managing director of the public company and negotiated its successful acquisition by ISR Limited.
Blomfield created his own consultancy service in 1993. As a consultant, he advised and managed a myriad of technology companies. His roles included managing director of Megasports Australia Pty. Limited, CEO of Genesis Inc. (a spatial geo-processing software company) and CEO of Pier Nineteen Technologies Pty. Limited (a mobile communications middleware company).
Dr. Peter Atherton, Chief Technology Officer and Founder
Dr. Peter Atherton is chief technology officer for MIKOH Corporation. At MIKOH, Atherton is responsible for the development and manufacturing of MIKOH’s security and digital marking technologies. He has a broad background in science and technology, and has been closely involved in the development of all MIKOH technologies to date.
Before joining the company, Atherton managed optical communications research and development at OTC where he was responsible for the development of undersea optical fibre cable designs and high-speed long-distance optical communications technologies.
Steven Van Fleet, Vice President of Sales and Business Development
Steven Van Fleet brings more than 20 years experience in RFID product development and sales. He previously served as president/principal for The R and V Group and as director of technology and operations for International Paper.
At International Paper, Van Fleet managed development and deployment of the first smart shelf system within a major retail superstore chain. His team also developed an RFID warehouse tracking system capable of locating a roll of paper within six inches of a 2 million-square-foot warehouse. Van Fleet holds multiple RFID technology patents and a bachelor’s of science from Miami University.
Sal Fazzolari, Vice President of Federal Practice
Sal Fazzolari brings more than 30 years experience in all aspects of Federal Business Development, program management and compliance. At MIKOH, Mr. Fazzolari will focus on and provide leadership for the launch and sustainment of MIKOH's products and services into the Federal market.
Mr. Fazzolari has a track record for leading teams in winning over $1.5B in Federal and State opportunities for companies such as Northrop Grumman, TRW, ICF International, and General Electric.
He incorporates a Growth Acquisition Process that helps companies develop a
strong Business Development culture. That culture is centered around the
development of a qualified pipeline of opportunities that is put through a
rigorous capture methodology.
Andrew Strauch, Vice President of Product Marketing and Management
Andrew Strauch has more than 20 years experience in product management, product marketing and engineering. He previously served as a practice lead at inCode Wireless within the company’s Enterprise group. In this role, he oversaw the Field Service Practice where he was responsible for product definition, development, delivery and new business development.
Prior to inCode, he held senior-level product marketing and management positions at PEAK Technologies and Aether Systems. Strauch began his career at Xerox Corporation where he served in a variety of product management, engineering and manufacturing positions both domestically and internationally. He holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, an MSEE from the Rochester Institute of Technology, a BSEE from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and has studied abroad at Osaka University.
David Rodriguez, Senior Director, Manufacturing
David Rodriguez brings to MIKOH more than 15 years experience in manufacturing program management, supply chain execution and manufacturing engineering. He previously served as a customer program management consultant with Celestica where he ran product and process operations for a variety of clients.
Previously, Rodriguez oversaw contract manufacturing relationships for Corvis Corporation as a program manager and in-house manufacturing for Bausch & Lomb as a process engineering manager. He also served as a product cost engineer for Xerox Corporation. Rodriguez holds an MBA from the University of Rochester and a BSEE from Manhattan College.
Gary Phipps, Financial Contoller and Company Secretary
Gary Phipps is MIKOH’s financial controller and company secretary. He is responsible for the company’s corporate governance practices, financial management and corporate administration. Phipps has more than 20 years experience in senior financial management roles across both listed and private companies. He has worked across a broad range of industries, including transport, health care and communications.
Phipps has a bachelor’s of commerce, and is a CPA, an affiliate of Chartered Secretaries Australia. He is also currently completing a graduate diploma in applied corporate governance.
