In addition to RFID solutions, MIKOH provides entry level non-RFID solutions based on a tamper indicating security seal. A tamper-indicating construction causes the label to be destroyed if fully or partially removed.

A top-featured version of MIKOH’s tag also becomes permanently and irrevocably altered when tampered or moved (and is electronically read as such). However, it still allows the original identifying data to be electronically read. If this MIKOH tag is moved from one asset to another, or from one container to another (e.g. to replace with a fake), the owner knows what happened and to exactly which asset. No additional human intervention required. No other solution can provide the certainty that tampering really will permanently alter the tag. International patents protect this technology. Containers and Objects
Many of the above solutions may be applied to single assets (item level tagging) or applied to boxes and containers of a huge variety of shapes & sizes, especially Rugged Protector Cases (RPCs). Incorporating intellectual property licensed from the US National Security Agency (NSA) (US Patent #7,201,410), MIKOH's RPC tamper indicating mechanism identifies, with certainty, whether a container has been opened. Such RPC cases are extremely robust, waterproof and chemical resistant and used by government agencies and commercial organizations for the safe transit of all types of assets, from small pocket sized items or documents, to large items such as weapon systems. MIKOH supports the sale of the case and/or the closure mechanism and tags.

Some assets or “containers” (e.g. utility equipment) needs to be monitored in real time and instantaneous report a tamper event to avoid sabotage, fraud or theft. MIKOH provides a wide range of custom solutions, many based on robust passive RFID solutions, that detect unauthorized access or entry.
