Smart&Secure Boosts ROI by Assuring RFID Users of Physical Security Authenticity

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 30, 2007 – MIKOH Corporation (MIK.AX) today confirmed the status of its patent-protected Smart&Secure technology as the industry’s best method for ensuring the certainty of RFID tags across applications, including electronic vehicle registration (EVR), pharmaceutical e-pedigree tracking, distribution and supply chain logistics. With patents in place for Smart&Secure, MIKOH is the leading company capable of validating that RFID tags remain uncompromised.

The MIKOH Smart&Secure patents cover the design and application of its proprietary differential adhesive that causes specific portions of an RFID tag’s electronics to be damaged if the tag is tampered or removed. This results in the tag being rendered inoperable or, in another design, remaining functional but indicating tampering to an RFID reading device.
